Bike & Pet Parade
Our annual Bike & Pet Parade is a longtime tradition during Wilmington’s Catfish Days! This parade is fun for the whole family, even your furry family members. The paraders dress their pets in fun costumes or decorate their bikes for a shot at one of our trophies.
Date: Saturday, July 23, 2016
Time: Registration starts at 10:00am, Parade starts at 10:30am
Location: Starts at Old Booth Central, Ends at the stage at North Island
There is no cost to participate and no need to register in advance. If you want to be a part of our parade, all you have to do is meet us at the start of the parade route at Old Booth Central. Line up for paraders starts at 10:00am, parade begins at 10:30am. We will parade from Jackson to Main St to Route 52 and end at the stage at North Island. At the end of the parade, we will present trophies for Largest Pet, Smallest Pet, Best Decorated Pet, Most Exotic Pet, Best Decorated Boy’s Bike, and Best Decorated Girl’s Bike!
Requirements & Guidelines
- Please note, all participating pets must be secured by leash or carrier to participate. Up-to-date Rabies and Distemper vaccines are required for cats and dogs. Bordetella and Canine Influenza vaccines are highly recommended for dogs as well.
- We ask all participants to complete an entry form on the day of the parade.
- Please arrive at Old Booth Central with plenty of time to complete your entry form before the parade begins.
- Families are welcome to walk alongside their children on bicycles in the parade.
